About

Raven Paris the label is an amalgamation of all that has inspired me in a deep and meaningful way. I wanted to create a space where "your" and "my" uniqueness and creative nature is safe to be expressed with no bounds. My long term goal for this brand is to bring a whimsical nature back to our reality, and inspire hope that dreams can come true. Raven Paris is both my name and my brand, and so it will grow alongside me. Maturing, becoming more self assured, and refined as I do.

As a child, I always knew that I wanted to design clothes. As time went on, I was forced to face "reality" and gave up the idea as impractical. It took a long time to realize how wrong it was to neglect that artistic part of my soul, and allow the world to convince me magic wasn't real. I decided to take my education into my own hands and practice the craft of creating well made garments from home. I hope to inspire others through expression not to turn their backs on that part of themselves that wasn't accepted by others.

Although I have a strong love of aesthetics, that is not the overarching focus of this brand. Deeply inspired by traditional modistes, I believe fashion should be approached in a sustainable and slow manner. Each piece of clothing created should be mindfully crafted and designed, with attention to detail and fit. It is a lost art form that I want to bring back as my skill and knowledge progresses. I currently make all of my own patterns from scratch, and sew each piece by hand. I plan on taking ethical approaches to production each time I create.
